is under construction!

ECD Bridges was developed to connect our community of stakeholders, including parents, educational organizations and policy makers. Our mission is to serve as a hub for ECD-everything! Currently, the site contains information about our ECD programs, its impact, and how one can support the cause. It also hosts a wealth of information on parenting and child development for participants in one of our programs as well as the general public. We encourage visitors to surf through the various links and offer feedback on what you would like to see. Please feel free to e-mail us via the “contact us” button above.

The Early Childhood Development (ECD) initiative of Rupani Foundation is an important component of its programmatic operations. The organization recognizes ECD as an effective strategy that can play a vital role in bringing our target community out of the vicious cycle of poverty. Research and studies have established that well-placed investments in the early years of a person’s life significantly increases their capacity to work upon adulthood, as well as ensures higher levels of intellectual, motor and social development. Global organizations such as the World Bank, UNICEF, WHO and UNESCO have underlined the importance of ECD in improving physical, psychological and social well-being, as well as promoting the cognitive development of children. All this serves as a preventative measure to combat poverty and bring about world peace.

Following the Child

This commonly used phrase comes from the Montessori practice of observing children in their natural environment (e.g. the prepared classroom)
and using their interests and level of ability as a
guide. The caregiver provides appropriate material
and adapts to meet the needs of each child accordingly.

Using Best Early Childhood Practices

Our programs are adapted for the specific areas
we engage in (e.g. rural environments) and utilize
time tested methods to make impact at the
grassroots level. We have a dedicated core of
experienced developers and trainers, with
backgrounds in a multitude of ECD disciplines.

Creating a More Peaceful and Sustainable World

By focusing on the early years, our programs capitalize on a window of opportunity when the brain is still forming and a person is most conducive to internalizing humanistic principles. By instilling a strong framework of values and ethics in our children, we plant seeds for future prosperity in the world.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
